Is This Chair Taken?
by Jennifer on Aug.10, 2010, under General
Is This Chair Taken? - It started out as a way to get rid of old chairs and turned into an All-American Backyard BBQ. This summer, Arapahoe Basin is replacing the beloved Exhibition chairlift with the new Black Mountain lift. What do ski resorts do with old chairlift chairs? Auction them off to the highest bidder. In this case, A-Basin decided to use the chairs to support a good cause and has partnered with the High Country Conservation Center as beneficiaries of the auction. The live auction will be August 28th at the resort base area.

Gems are a Girl’s Best Friend – It’s no secret that girls love diamonds. And girls in Colorado also love powder. That’s why I like skiing at Colorado Ski Country USA Gem Resorts. There are nine resorts in Ski Country referred to as the Colorado Gems. They are found off the beaten path, have fewer crowds, less wait time, and therefore, offer more skiing. They also offer great programs, some especially for women. With a Colorado Gems Card and programs like these, ladies can ski the bling and play in the pow all winter. Below is a snapshot of the Colorado Gems Resorts and some of the specialized programs they offer their guests. (Programs may change).
