A 5th Grade Skier’s Rite of Passage – As if being in 5^th grade isn’t cool enough already, with the Colorado Ski Country USA 5^th Grade Passport, it’s the bees knees, just ask Amanda. Amanda is in 5^th grade this year at Strawberry Park Elementary in Steamboat Springs, CO – “the best school EVER!” according to Amanda.

As a 5^th grader, she will be able to take advantage of the 5^th Grade Passport this season. The 5^th Grade Passport is a Colorado Ski Country USA program that provides three days of free skiing to 5^th graders at 21 Colorado ski resorts. Amanda has been waiting to be in 5^th grade so she can finally get a Passport.

Get Your Ticket to Ride – If you want to ski at a resort this winter, you gotta have a pass. Resorts these days are offering so many different kinds of passes that there sure to be one that fits your exact riding needs. Each year it seems like there is a trend in ski passes. For example college passes were booming for a while there. Flexible payments were big last year. This year it’s the season of reciprocation. So many mountain passes allow access to so many other mountains, pretty soon there will be one pass for all – oh wait, that’s the Colorado Gold Pass.

A Labor Day Full of Winter Love – Though temperatures are still hovering in the 80’s, Labor Day weekend marks the beginning of winter for die-hard skiers on the front range as it brings the annual ski sales at many of Denver’s sports and ski stores. Accordingly, several of Colorado Ski Country’s 22 member resorts will be bringing season pass and lift ticket deals to ski and snowboard sales events happening on the Front Range this weekend. But just like on a powder day, get there early to reap the rewards.
