And so it begins. Favorable weather conditions have enabled Copper Mountain Resort to fire up the snow guns this morning, commencing one of Colorado’s largest snowmaking operations and launching the U.S. Speed Center VIP Preview Contest. Eighty seven automatic snowmaking guns are dedicated to the U.S. Ski Team Speed Center, which is the world’s only early season full-length alpine racing venue and scheduled to open later this month.
