Copper Mountain has packed every weekend in August to ensure summer bucket list seekers can fulfill summer ambitions before the season comes to a close.

New Obstacles & More Fun at Durango Mountain Resort’s Muck and Mire on the Mountain Mud Adventure Race
Durango Mountain Resort hosts the second annual First National Bank of Durango Muck and Mire on the Mountain on Aug. 10, 2013, featuring new and improved obstacles. Race participants will get down and dirty as they test their endurance on more than a dozen different obstacles stationed around the mountain in the 10k, 5k and 1 mile Mini Muck and Mire for kids.
The first Valhalla Nights of the summer will take place tomorrow – Friday, July 12, from 4 – 9 p.m. at Elk Camp in Snowmass. Valhalla Nights is an extension of the popular Ullr Nights that debuted this winter at Elk Camp and will feature evening downhilling and Bike Snowmass access, campfire and s’mores, lawn games, a climbing wall, a children’s playground and bikes, a fishing pond, live music and a BBQ.
During a weekend wrapped in red, white, and blue, and dedicated to observing Independence Day, a tight-knit community of skiers gathered on Saturday July 6th at the Estes Park Convention Center to commemorate a small ski area that once was: Ski Hidden Valley. Tucked in on the Eastern Slope of Rocky Mountain National Park just 10 miles west of Estes Park, Ski Hidden Valley, like so many other ski areas here in Colorado, was founded by a member of the 10th Mountain Division returning home from World War II.

Americans for the Arts, the nation’s leading nonprofit organization for advancing the arts and arts education, announced companies selected by the Business Committee for the Arts (BCA), a division of Americans for the Arts, as The BCA 10: Best Businesses Partnering with the Arts in America for 2013. The BCA 10 Awards and BCA Leadership Award will be presented by Americans for the Arts on October 2, 2013, at a black-tie gala at the Central Park Boathouse in New York City.
