Ahhh, Colorado. The snow, the mountains, the freedom.
People come from far and wide to enjoy Colorado’s incredible back yard. They come for the great snow, challenging terrain, and endless supply of adrenaline. They come for the gentle bunny slopes, experienced instructors, and excitement for learning a new sport. And, they come for the breathtaking views, appreciation for the outdoors and quality time with friends and family.
In search of a ski resort that really holds true to it’s roots, I visited Wolf Creek in Southwestern Colorado. Known for having the most snow in Colorado, the mountain proved to be a place where the skiers ski. It’s a no nonsense kind of “resort” that really focuses on snowsports. Families and first-timers flock to the hills to take advantage of the convenience and affordability of a small resort, matched with the great snow and varied terrain of larger resorts, plus the friendly atmosphere and small-town feel of a second-generation run family-operated resort. It was pretty refreshing to see it right here, all in one place.
There really is something for everyone.
