Below is a list of the resorts and details about their extended operations.
Copper Mountain Resort Leadership announced yesterday that the 2013/2014 skiing and riding season will be extended for one additional weekend after the resort closes on Sunday, April 20. Copper Mountain will resume operations for one additional weekend on Friday, April 25 through Sunday, April 27. Copper Mountain Resort has received more than 320 inches of snow this season. Copper Mountain Resort has exceeded its average seasonal snowfall with more than 26 feet of snow falling during the 2013/2014 winter season. “Copper Mountain believes everyone deserves a Snow Day, with current conditions feeling like mid-winter, we didn’t have the heart to close the book to an extraordinary season just yet,” said Gary Rodgers, President and General Manager of Copper Mountain Resort.
Stay tuned for available terrain and lift schedules during Copper’s extended weekend. Skier services including food and beverage offerings and rental and retail options will be limited to Center Village. All parking throughout Copper Mountain Resort will be complimentary during this time.
All Copper Mountain season pass products will be valid including Rocky Mountain Superpass and Superpass Plus, Four Pack’s with remaining days and Copper Mountain Season Passes. The Snow Day pass will be valid if 4 inches or more are reported, if no Snow Day is reported than Snow Day Passholders will be offered a $40 discounted day ticket. Winter Park Resort
Thanks to over 28 feet of total snow this season and more on the way throughout April, Winter Park Resort will extend its 2013/2014 ski and ride season an extra week, with closing day now scheduled for Sunday, April 27.
Winter Park Resort has received a total of 340.5” of snow, well ahead of average for this time of year and just 7” off the historical average for snowfall in an entire season. In March alone, over five feet of snow (61.5”) fell at Winter Park, meaning conditions through the new closing date of April 27 promise to be superb.
Despite adding an extra week of operations, Winter Park Resort will still conduct its Springtopia celebration on the weekend of April 19-20, with free concerts by Big Head Todd and the Monsters and Dumpstaphunk as well as the always-anticipated Coca-Cola® Spring Splash taking place on originally scheduled dates and times.
