Any day on the mountain is a good day in our eyes, but the same can be said for a night near the mountain as well. That’s why we suggest at least one overnight ski getaway every winter, because even a local can benefit from a little slopeside R&R. Nothing beats waking up steps from the chairlift, skiing all day, and then relaxing at the resort at night. The variety of ski resorts in Colorado means there are a plethora of ski/stay/play options for visitors, ranging from thrifty to downright lavish. Here’s a rundown of some of our favorites:

Arapahoe Basin

Arapahoe Basin has a variety of lodging partners that offer discounts when you mention A-Basin, like their Key To the Rockies promotion, which can get you up to 45% off your stay. More information here: http://arapahoebasin.com/Abasin/tickets/hot-deals/lodging.aspx

Aspen Snowmass

Want to take a trip but feel like you’re being unfaithful to your season pass? Deals like the “Ski Free in Aspen” package at The Little Nell in Aspen help ease those concerns. The package includes two complimentary ski passes to the four Aspen mountains for each day you stay at The Little Nell.
