Spring is in the air and the end of the ski season at Telluride Ski Resort is nearing. To celebrate the spectacular 2013-2014 ski season, a litany of activities are scheduled to send this season off with a bang. Below is a schedule of upcoming events.
Mountain Town Get Down March 28-30:
Telluride is proud to announce the debut of the Mountain Town Get Down 2014. This new event will fill the resort with free live music, 3-days of partying and spring skiing. The party kicks-off Friday at Tomboy Tavern. On Saturday, the Village will jump and jam with free music in the Mountain Village Plaza. The weekend festivities will wrap-up with the Bikini Slalom and Luau at Gorrono Ranch on Sunday. Mark your calendar and get ready to celebrate an incredible season.

The goals of the One to One Mentor Programs are to empower youth to achieve their social, emotional, and academic potential. This fundraiser is a great entertainment and opportunity to help the kids of San Miguel County.
The Fools Relay Race, April 1 – Base of Lift 4, 5:30 pm
-Teams of 4 to compete in relay race of skiing uphill, sledding, fat tire bike course and ducking ropes obstacle course
-Prizes from Icelantic Skis, Zeal Optics, Osprey Pack, Ibex Wool and more!
Closing Day Party and Pond Skim April 6:

Skiing on water for prizes like Icelantic Skis, Osprey Packs and ZEAL Optics eyewear, dancing to DJ Soulatomic with all your friends and general end of season revelry will be the focus for this last day of the ski season. It’ll be so much fun, you won’t want the DJ or chair lifts to stop spinning!
One Roof Blues, April 6th at Tomboy Tavern
Steeped in the tradition of a classic blues stylist, One Roof Blues has its roots firmly grounded with a Mississippi Delta sound. What initially began as a husband-wife acoustic duo, with Dave and Taylor Larocco, quickly became popular throughout Durango and the 4 Corners area. Riders looking to participate in the largest freeride mountain bike event in the United States can now register for this summer’s Colorado Freeride Festival, which will be held on July 24-27, 2014 at Winter Park Resort.
Registration is open now in four disciplines; Slopestyle, Enduro, Air Downhill, and the fan-favorite Pond Crossing. Registration for the Cross Country race will open this Friday, February 21 and spaces for all competition, especially Enduro, will fill up fast so those interested are encouraged to sign up quickly. This year’s Colorado Freeride Festival promises to be the best yet, with top riders from all over the world battling it out for over $45,000 in prize money.

Aspen Gay Ski Week is a week-long LGBTQ winter event held in January each year, featuring daily skiing/boarding on one of the four mountains in the area with guides for all abilities. The best up-and-coming freestyle mogul skiers in the United States, along with Olympic hopefuls from six other countries, are at Winter Park Resort through December 22 to compete in the 23rd annual U.S. Freestyle Selections with hopes of earning a ticket to the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia. This marks the only moguls freestyle selection event held in the U.S. this year. At the same time, the world’s best Olympic hopeful freeskiers and snowboarders from across from 35 nations are battling it out out at Copper Mountain at the 2014 Sprint U.S. Grand Prix through Sunday, December 22.
