For the first time ever, Winter Park Resort will pair the flavors of well-known whiskeys with some of the tastiest buffalo wing recipes around, all in the beautiful backdrop of the Rocky Mountains. This festival is the perfect opportunity to sample some of the best whiskey and wings in Colorado. With a variety of styles and flavors guests will be sure to find their favorite combination.  A free concert will also feature the Jami Lunde Band throughout the festival.

Guests are invited to vote for their favorite wing recipe to determine the People’s Choice Award for the Best Wings. First prize is $500 and two VIP tickets to tour the Stranahan’s Distillery in Denver. Cash prizes will also be available for second and third place winners. (continue reading…)

Registration is still open for the Power of Four Mountain Bike Race this Saturday, August 25.  This race combines the four ski areas of Aspen/Snowmass – Snowmass, Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk – into one challenging course. The diversity of terrain and a requirement to ride four distinct mountains makes this event the only one of its kind.  New this year, the race concludes with a thrilling single track decent of Aspen Mountain.
